June 2026: Michael Medico Takes Over As Director Of Bill Burr Comedy 'Bender'
Michael Medico (Good Trouble) has taken over as director of Bender, a coming-of-age comedy starring Bill Burr, Chris O'Dowd and Ruth Bradley that we scooped last fall.
Medico takes the reins from Pluribus helmer Adam Bernstein, who has exited the project for reasons not disclosed. Also new to the project is Irish actress Geraldine Hughes (Rocky Balboa), who has joined the cast with production now underway in Belfast.

May 2026: Noah Beck, Siena Agudong & Charlie Gillespie Returning For Third Installment In 'The QB And Me' Tubi Franchise As Project Heads To Cannes Market
Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired international sales rights for the newly greenlit third installment of the hit Tubi Original franchise Sidelined: "The QB and Me," known internationally as "The Bad Boy And Me," with stars Noah Beck, Siena Agudong set to reprise their roles as Drayton and Dallas, respectively, with Charlie Gillespie (Julie and the Phantoms) also returning as Skyler.
The third installment will be directed by Michael Medico with Blue Ant Studios, Marshall Arts, and Wattpad Webtooon Studios producing. Blue Fox Entertainment will launch sales on the title at the Cannes Film Market.

March 2024: Walden Media Taps Michael to Direct Feature Adaptation Of Robbie Couch's Queer YA Novel The Sky Blues
Following Walden Media's acquisition of rights to The Sky Blues, the debut novel of New York Times bestseller Robbie Couch, the indie studio has enlisted Jono Mitchell and Madison Hatfield to script a feature adaptation, bringing Michael Medico ("Good Trouble") aboard to direct, in his feature debut.
